We finally found it!!  If you’ve read our previous posts, you know that we’ve been struggling with some engine performance problems for a few weeks now.

After what we hoped would be a simple ignition issue, it became obvious that the problem was bigger than just a misfire. We have already replaced almost our entire ignition system.

I also rebuilt our old carburator but it still felt like it was loading up at low RPMs. We upgraded the carb from the original Rochester Quadrajet to an Edelbrock 600. Engine Problems Persist!!

Does it seem like engine problems is all we’ve blogged about lately?  It sure feels that way.  Sooner or later we’re gonna solve this ongoing performance issue. Jennifer says that we “jinxed” ourselves when we posted about being “Boat Ready“. She may be right.

Engine Problems and Poor Performance:

Along with the list of things to make our boat ready for the season, we have also recently replaced much of our ignition system and removed and rebuilt the carburator. Silver Glen Spring Here We Come! Not!!

 Silver Glen Here We Come!

It’s finally Friday, and today we leave for our first trip of the year to the Silver Glen Spring . All the work is done. Our boat is loaded with food and drinks, plenty of fuel in the boat, and a full tank in the truck. Heck, I even made time on Thursday to change the oil in the truck.

Good To Go?
