Season Change and Change is Good!

Beach Pumpkin Season

It’s that time of the year again!

 Hi everybody!

A season change is coming. Or maybe it’s already here!  Who can tell?

Here in Florida, it can be hard to know just by the temperature.  For us, it means that the constant upper 90s of summer will begin to cool to a brisk 80° or so.

But that’s great for us. This is part of why we love living in this beautiful state.   Boating all year long!!

We know that in many parts of the country, folks are already winterizing their vessels and looking forward to the next summer.    Boooooo!!  🙁

Okay . . .   maybe somebody in Florida is winterizing their boat, but no one we know is!

We’re excited for the season change.  Change is good.

Btw . . . we’re making some changes here too.

Happy New Year 2020 !!

Happy New Year 2020 to all of our boating friends out there.  Jennifer and I hope that all of you had a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year’s Eve.

Now that the Christmas holidays and the boat parades are behind us, it’s time to look towards a new year of fun on the water.

It’ll be springtime before you know it, and the warm days of summer 2020 won’t be far behind.

But first, one more recap from the boating year past . . .

Christmas Boat Parades:

Once again, the 2019 Christmas boat parades did not disappoint. Both the Merritt Island Christmas Boat Parade and the Lake Conway Christmas Boat Parades were a hit for all of the boaters that participated this year. Continue reading “Happy New Year 2020! A Look Back and Forward”

2019 Christmas Boat Parades. We’re Ready!

Christmas boat parade

Who’s ready for Christmas?

Hey everyone. Jennifer and I want to start by offering all of you our warmest holiday wishes.  Now, who’s ready for the 2019 Christmas boat parades?  We are !

Just had our first real temperature drop here in central Florida, and we’re finally seeing highs down in the 80’s.  Lol

Halloween is over and with the DST clock reversal, now it’s cooler AND dark earlier.  It’s beginning to look alot like Christmas . . .”

Now all we need are lights.  Lots of lights.   And not just on the house and in the yard, but all over the boat!!

So . . .  get your batteries charged up, dig out the invertors, generators, or whatever you use to run your decorations and rig up your vessel. Let’s get out there and do as many boat parades as possible this year.

Jennifer and I like to participate in 2-3 parades each Christmas season. This year again we’ll be doing the Merritt Island Christmas boat parade in Brevard county and the Lake Conway boat parades in Orlando, FL.

2019 Merritt Island Christmas Boat Parade:

This will be our 3rd year navigating the canals and neighborhoods of Sykes Creek in Merritt Island by boat.  Hopefully, you’ve checked out or post on the Four Crazy Christmas Nights from last year.

There will be hundreds of boats all decked out in fantastic light displays making their way around the canals of Sykes Creek. Continue reading “2019 Christmas Boat Parades. We’re Ready!”
